Aldrick Griffin Dies In a Fatal Central Car Crash

Central law enforcement officers have identified the person involved in a fatal single-vehicle crash.

According to officials, the victim is Aldrick Griffin, 48, who lives in Central.

The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 7, near the intersection of Greenwell Springs Road and Frenchtown Road.

A black Lexus was going east on Greenwell Springs Road when it went off the road for unknown reasons, colliding with a traffic light pole and rendering all traffic signals inoperative.

By Sunday afternoon, the traffic lights at the crossroads were completely operational again.

Law officials stated that the presence of impairment is unknown, but they believe that excessive speed had a role in the sad crash.
