Tragic Interstate Collision Claims Lives of Illinois Residents Brendan Kivlehan and Natalie Nicoletti
Cle Elum, WA – August 23, 2023 – A somber incident unfolded on Monday afternoon when a vehicle collision on Interstate 90 took the lives of Brendan Kivlehan, 26, from Palos Heights, Illinois, and Natalie Nicoletti, 24, from Countryside, Illinois.
The unfortunate occurrence involved a 2013 Subaru Legacy, which was being driven by an unidentified individual traveling in the westbound direction. As the vehicle navigated a left-hand curve on the road, it unexpectedly veered into the right lane. Subsequently, the vehicle departed from the road’s surface on the right-hand side, ultimately coming to rest within an embankment adjacent to the tree line.
Regrettably, the impact of the collision resulted in the loss of two precious lives – Brendan Kivlehan and Natalie Nicoletti. Brendan Kivlehan was pronounced deceased at the crash site, while Natalie Nicoletti succumbed to her injuries during airlifting en route to Harborview.
The driver, whose identity remains undisclosed, sustained injuries and was transported via airlift to Harborview Medical Center located in Seattle. Alongside them, a third passenger identified as Katherine Ogletree, 21, hailing from Chicago, was also transported to Harborview with severe injuries.
In the aftermath of the accident, an initial investigation indicated that the driver might potentially face charges related to the incident.
