Update on the Death of Danielle Goodwin in South Portland

State Police have identified the woman whose body was discovered on Tuesday evening around 5 p.m. in South Portland. The victim has been identified as 52-year-old Danielle Goodwin, a resident of Freeport. The discovery was made in a ditch along Clark’s Pond Road near Home Depot. The medical examiner’s office has determined Goodwin’s death to be a homicide.

Authorities are now seeking the public’s assistance in locating the car she was last seen in—a blue 2016 Honda CRV with Maine license plate 2773VM.

Local and state investigators have been diligently working on this case, collecting physical evidence, and interviewing witnesses who were in the area at the time when Goodwin’s body was discovered.
