David William Duchovny, an American actor, writer, producer, and musician, was born on August 7, 1960.
He received Golden Globe nominations for his performances as FBI agent Fox Mulder on The X-Files (1993-2002, 2016-2018) and as writer Hank Moody on Californication (2007-2014), both of which he played.
The 1998 science fiction thriller with the same name and the 2008 supernatural thriller The X-Files: I Want to Believe both featured Duchovny.
He executive produced Aquarius, a historical police drama that ran from 2015 to 2016.
His filmography includes supporting appearances in the family comedy Beethoven (1992) and the coming-of-age black comedy Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead (1991).
