Dr. Matthen Mathew, MD – Boca Raton, FL

Matthen Mathew, MD is a hematologist/oncologist at the Lynn Cancer Institute, Baptist Health South Florida. He received his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center, where he was appointed Chief Fellow. From 2018-2020, he was an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology-Oncology, Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University and member of the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center specializing in the treatment of cancers of lung, head and neck. His research focuses on advancing new and more effective treatments for patients including novel drug combinations, targeted therapies and immunotherapies. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
