The Parma-Sandstone Fire Department mourns the unexpected death of Lieutenant Kyle Heins.

The Parma-Sandstone Fire Department is profoundly saddened to announce Lieutenant Kyle Heins’ tragic death. Lieutenant Heins joined the department in 2017 and has shown remarkable dedication and commitment, receiving a well-deserved promotion to lieutenant in 2019. He was the department’s lone full-time firefighter at the time, making his death all the more tragic.

Lieutenant Heins impacted the lives of many people with his unselfish service and kind personality, and the entire community is mourning his death. Those who had the honor of knowing him will cherish his memory and the wonderful impact he had on the lives of others for the rest of their life. During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as they cope with the loss of such an esteemed individual.

Lieutenant Heins is survived by a devoted wife and three adored children, and the community joins them in their grief, offering sympathy and support.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Lieutenant Heins’ memory will be honored via funeral preparations. The funeral will be conducted at the Potters Center on the Jackson College campus on Saturday, August 5th, at 11:00 a.m.

Please wear a minimum of class B dress and arrive no later than 10:45 a.m. for uniformed personnel attending the service. Department vehicles are encouraged to attend the ceremony as a heartfelt tribute.
