Obituary | Sheryl Ziegler Passes Away;Funeral Details

Evansville, Indiana’s Sheryl Ziegler, 55, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022. Upon entering this world on January 21, 1967, she did so in Rockford, Illinois.
The patients who saw Sheri, an oncologist and hematologist who started practicing in Evansville in 2006, adored her. She served on Ascension’s board of directors. For Cancer Pathways Midwest and Chemo Buddies, Sheri was an enthusiastic volunteer. She was a passionate pyrotechnics enthusiast who also enjoyed beekeeping, reading, wordle, and family vacations. She was a member of Washington Avenue Church of Christ. The Church Youth Group was something Sheri was active with. Sheri was the kind of person whose smile and laughter could brighten anyone’s day. She was athletically talented, creatively gifted, and deeply devoted to her cat Koko.

Friend-of-a-friend introductions brought Sheri and her future husband, Mark Ziegler, together in the metro Detroit region. April 1st, 2005 was the day they tied the knot. The couple had Aiden Christian Ziegler, whom she adored, two years later.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Arnsmeier; dog, Koko.

Sheri is survived by her husband Mark Ziegler, their son Aiden Ziegler, their father Dwaine Arnsmeier, her brother Bruce Arnsmeier and his wife Michelle, their sons Ryan and Kyle, and their niece Alexis; Sheri’s in-laws Marty “Meme” Ziegler and Larry Ziegler and his wife Bonnie, her brother Kent Ziegler and his wife Pam, their nieces and nephews Ali Kissinger, Bradley Ziegler and

Monday, November 28, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., David Rogers will preside over a funeral ceremony at the Washington Avenue Church of Christ. The service will be livestreamed on Family and friends are welcome to attend the church service beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The Youth Program at Washington Avenue Church of Christ would be grateful for any donations given in his memory.
