Sean Michael McDermott is an American football coach who is the head coach for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League.

Sean is a married man who got married to his wife Jamie McDermott for years now. He married a wife who is five years younger than him as she was born on June 25, 1979, and she is 43 years old. The two tied the knot after they met as high school and college lovers at the La Salle College High School and the College of William and Mary respectively. The family resides in Orchard Park, New York. He is a Christian.

Sean was born in Omaha, Nebraska, to his parents Rich and Avis. He later grew up in Pennsylvania. His family lived in West Chester and Paoli before settling in Lansdale when McDermott was in second grade. His father was a high school football coach.

Sean first attended North Penn High School before transferring to La Salle College High School, where he was named All-Southeastern Pennsylvania at defensive back in 1992 and graduated in 1993.

Sean was also a national prep champion wrestler in 1992 and 1993. He received a bachelor’s degree in finance while at the College of William and Mary, where he was an all-conference safety (1997).

In 2021, Sean revealed he had been treated for skin cancer “several times” since at least 2017.
