Alpharita Constantia Marley was born on July 25, 1946, to Leroy Anderson and Cynthia “Beda” Jarrett. She is a Jamaican singer of Cuban origin who was a member of the vocal group the I Threes, along with Marcia Griffiths and Judy Mowatt, who rose to prominence as backing vocalists for Bob Marley and the Wailers.
