Initially, Rilla was a part of the six Sanrio villagers and was only available in the summer of 2019. But she is available from March 26th, 2021 to May 10th, 2021, she is now a treasure trekker and can be obtained by doing Gulliver’s Cargo Ship .
Trivia. Even though she is based off of a Hello Kitty, a cat, Rilla is a gorilla. She is the only gorilla to not have the Fitness hobby but instead the nature hobby. As sometimes revealed on April Fool’s Day in New Leaf, Rilla has a twin sister and is the older of them.

They split their time evenly between their house and exploring the village, and will usually do a wide variety of activities while outdoors. They’re passionate about cleanliness and cooking, which is revealed during conversations with them. Normal villagers are often found wearing tons of different clothing types, rang ing from dresses to tank tops and everything between. Their kind demeanor makes them easy for most villagers to get along with, but Cranky villagers do tend to get on their nerves because of how rude they often can be. Snooty villagers may bother them, too, although not as much as Cranky ones.
