A WOMAN accusing Usher of giving her herpes allegedly said she used a condom when she slept with the pop star – despite claiming she had unprotected sex in her £15 million lawsuit. Laura Helm, one of several people suing the artist, says she slept with the singer, real name Usher Raymond, on two separate occasions.
You’ll recall, Helm sued the singer back in 2017 claiming he had exposed her to the virus when they had unprotected sex. She initially sued for $10 million, then upped it to $20 mil for emotional harm and punitive damages.
In their first sexual encounter, the singer wooed Helm by talking about his humanitarian work in Africa, his interest in water filtration and his concerns for the current state of American politics, said the claimant. The second time the pair hooked up, Usher put on jazz music before performing oral sex on the fellow musician, the filings state.
West added that Helm: “didn’t want to be exploited and, in her attempt to deter Byron from doing so, she told him (inaccurately) that she never had protected sex with Usher and that she did not have herpes.”

In July, another lawsuit claims Usher paid a woman £800,000 after he infected her with herpes while knowing that he had the incurable disease. First published by Radar Online, the affidavit states that the U Got It Bad star, real name Usher Raymond IV, was diagnosed with the condition in either 2009 or 2010.
In California, where Usher lives, it is illegal to “knowingly or recklessly transmit a sexually transmitted disease (STD)”. The 38-year-old R&B star first contracted the illness in 2009 or 2010 when he was finalising his divorce to Tameka Foster who accused him of cheating.
